Cloud use is explicit. AI analysis requires confirmation and previews the masked text that will be sent.
Sharing is optional. Caregiver history contains warning metadata, not message bodies, subjects, or senders.
Plain language. Warnings explain the signals found and do not pretend to guarantee an outcome.
What We Never Do
Sell your data to anyone, ever
Store your passwords or banking info
Read emails you haven't opened
Send you spam or unwanted marketing
Share your info without explicit permission
Use deceptive practices or hidden costs
Data Retention Policy
Local checks: message content and low-risk scan results stay on your device.
Optional account history: when enabled, elevated warning metadata can be synced. Message bodies, subjects, senders, and page URLs are excluded.
Account deletion: request deletion anytime at /data-deletion. After email confirmation, the server attempts deletion immediately and reports the result.
Legal requirements:We comply with local data protection laws. If a longer retention period is legally required, we'll notify you.
Leaving ScamBrake
You can stop using ScamBrake anytime with zero hassle:
Uninstall the extension from your browser (right-click → Remove)
Visit /data-deletion to delete your account data (if you created an account)
Done. No calls, no emails, no fuss.
